i know that with ducks you cant have to many boys but with chickens is it the same way
Oh yes! You should keep one rooster for every 1-10 hens. Otherwise they fight and the hens get too much attention.
but i probably can only get 3 to 6 chickens
Then only keep one rooster
what if you hatch eggs you cant tell if its going to be a boy or girl
Then you'll have to wait it out and then get rid of the extra males.
where whould you get rid of the exta males?
Then you have to have a plan - before you hatch - as to how you are going to deal with the extra males. Eat them or find homes for them. The reality is, it's not easy to sell extra roosters unless you have a specific breed people are looking for, or show quality birds.
If you plan to sell extra roosters, I would strongly suggest you have a market for them even before you start hatching.
