I'm just on my way to pick up the chicks from the airport, they will be hopping around their brooder by tonight. I'm so excited and can't wait to share pictures!

The Americaunas started hatching on Sunday, and the rest on Monday and Tuesday. Here's what we're getting in our little chick flock!

    ou have:
14 Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas (yellow, yellow with black, and brown, have puffy cheeks)
5 Black Copper Marans (Black, feathered shanks, dark egg layer)
4 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes (look like chipmunks right now)
    5 Lavender Orpington's (Lavender colour)
1 Light Sussex (yellow as a chick, will turn white with black)

Thanks! I'm going to hangout in the car with them during the ferry ride to make sure they don't get too cold during the crossing.

Ok freaking out!!! The plane is delayed over an house because the tire burst on a stop. I can't make it home on the ferry tonight. Ran to a
Feed store. Got crumbles, bought a little light and waterer. I'll be stranded at a friend who will hopefully not mind the invasion... Any words of wisdom for impromptu temporary chick rearing??

I hope they are ok in the plane. :(
