Toms River New Jersey

    Hi I live in Toms River NJ and I cant seem to find any laws for owning chickens does any one have a clue?

    Hi! I also live in Toms River and I have chickens. When I looked into the ordinances the only info I could find on domesticated animals and livestock is that no animals should cause a noise disturbance to the neighborhood. As long as your neighbors are ok with it you're good. I would suggest no roosters.

    Thanks so much for your reply! We just have Hens, and no Roosters, their doing great in are fenced in back yard and are very quite !

    I live in Toms River too! I am being evicted from our farm house after 22 years. Landlord selling my property to commercial builders. So I have to move. Scared of what my new neighbors are going to think about my girls. Sometimes they are loud in the morning.
    I’ll be moving to Mt Vernon Toms River. Where do you all live? I hope they love my girls.
