Too big an opening in coop?

I close up my small, rabbit hutch style coop every night. I have four girls who spend the day wandering around their small attached run (fully covered with chicken wire and hardware cloth). Here's my question:

The coop is totally locked up except for the top, where an approximately 3/4 inch gap runs the length of the roofline. So looking at the coop from the front, there's about a four foot long 3/4 inch gap at its top. Is this gap big enough for predators to get in during the night?

    Thanks for any tips.

I can just see that LOL. But still I'd hate to lose a chick. Also hate to comfront a snake in close quarters. Yikes, I hate the things. I don't mind them living ,just not in my coop or my garden or my yard etc. LOL Jean
