Hello all, I'm new to chickens and new to the forum. I just placed my first chick order (some Barred Rocks, Speckled Sussex, and few bantams) scheduled to arrive around July 1st. I've read that chicks usually spend about 6 weeks in the brooder before for moving outside, which would be mid-August. That's all well and good except that I live in Tucson, AZ. Highs here run in the upper 90's throughout August. Is it safe to have 6 week old chickens outside at these temperatures? They will have all-day shade and I also bought a fan for them.
