    Hi all,

I bought the 1/4" hardware mesh - 23 gauge. The did not have the 19 I was looking for and we had a gift card to Home Depot, so we just bought it. My husband already put it on the windows. Is this stuff considered too weak to withhold racoons? I really don't want to have to take it all down, but will if it means safety issues to my chickens.

    Thanks!

You should put your location in your profile...

Depends on how you fastened it down.

I updated it. I am in Illinois. My husband drilled screws around the edges on the windows. For the barn door he put wood around the edges of the cloth and screwed that down.

Thanks neighbor! I was just not sure if a raccoon could tear it open.

  6. This sounds really good. I think the important thing is keeping them from grabbing a corner and pulling it loose.
