Our hens have been laying about a week now. They have laying mash and oyster shells but they also get a lot of fruit rinds and veggies from the garden. The girls aren't eating as much of the mash as they did before. They pick more at the scraps. Will this effect their egg laying? They still seem to be getting into the oyster shells from what I can see.

Mine get treats about 3 days a week and just started laying on Aug 8. They also get to free range about an hour each evening. I was told here that treats should be 10% of their diet. But if they are getting good greens from the garden I am sure that is OK. I am not an expert so maybe someone else has better info.
