Topical treatment for a pecked comb?

I think we had a little rumble in the coop/roost bar and I found this Buff with a bloody comb today. Only one side of her comb has injuries, I have seen small scabs on her comb before but I always foun them when they were dried up,

not fresh. What is the best topical treatment? And what else should I consider doing to treat it?

The best thing to do is to do nothing. Chickens have an almost miraculous ability to heal from horrible wounds. Doctoring a minor boo-boo like this one will likely cause more stress and injury than doing nothing.

Also I think that I detect a little blood on her beak which makes me think that you may have another hen with some boo-boos.

Thanks! That was my gut feeling too. But it’s my first group of hens and my first boo boo. Thanks for reassuring me! And I checked everyone and couldn’t find the other lady involved in the brawl.
