I am having trouble deciding on which to build. I like the idea of a tractor a lot so the grass will grow back. I will only have 3 hens. My property is about a little more than an acre cleared. Will they destroy the grass with a tractor? I want them to help the yard not make it bare! :) Advice welcome!

I have both, personally I like my tractor the best.

Depends on how many chickens you have in it, and if they go out during the day. I move it every couple of days.

I only used a tractor for bantams a few years ago. I thought bantams would be easier on the grass. Unless I moved it everyday or every other day, they pretty well ate all the grass. They only made a hole here & there & the grass was able to grow back, but my DH complained all the time. I had enough space where I had them that they only used the same area every 3 weeks. YMMV
