In spring I will be receiving 14 baby chicks, my first time raising chickens. My closest and easiest place to get feed would be a Tractor Supply store, are the brands they carry for chicken feed decent quality and price? Overpriced? I am positive there are plenty of other feed places as we live in a rural area, but TSC would be the most convenient. I am all about organic, but don't think I can do it for the chickens because of the drastic price difference. But I still want a high quality feed.

you have some time, check out your local feed stores. If you can find a local mill that supplies them it is often better and cheaper then the big box foods tractor supply carries. It all depends on what you mean by "quality" feed. non GMO, no soy, high protien? Even costco in some areas will carry organic feed. Those are all different and what you can get will differ by area.
