Our 1 year old White Brahma is persistently broody and it is interfering with the production of our other 4 backyard hens. Broodiness aside she is a very mild mannered hen (gets briefly cranky when we take her off the eggs). She comes off once a day on her own to eat and drink but is diligently sitting otherwise.
Would like to trade her for a good layer and mild mannered hen - Buff Orpington, Ameraucana, Australorp, Barred Rock? Preferably under the age of 2.
Our other 4 are the boss Rhode Island Red, 2nd in command is a Barred Rock, a Brahma, then a very timid Plymouth Rock.
