We would like to try hatching out some eggs under a broody hen. Does anyone have a good "mama bird" they would like to get rid of? Would prefer a bantam as we're not planning on hatching more than a few at a time, but would consider LF as well.

    Not interested in Silkies :)

If you were interested, we have a 22 week old Salmon Faverolles (squatting, but not laying yet) that we could do a swap for. Hand raised, free range and friendly. Not show quality (coloring has black/brown bleeding in), but healthy in every other way.

I wish you were closer as I have had 3-7 broody hens non stop! If you dont find someone I would highly suggest getting a Cochin...as every Cochin I have had is constantly broody! Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! Cochin is at the top of my list, but I'm open about it still.
