    Greetings,
We have a 7 month old Great Pyrenees puppy. We got Malcolm when he was 4 months (which seems a little old). He is kept with our Llama and alpaca herd, and supervises goats when they are in the main pasture. We tethered him with the animals for the 1st 3-4 weeks, then started leaving him loose in the pens, and when the animals are out in the pasture. However, last week we had a set back, He got out of the pasture and would come immediately to were we were at the main house, we tried several fence and gate fixes, but he is too big now to keep penned if it is not his desire, so we have kept him tethered for a week with the penned animals. I just took him out again yesterday, we surveyed the fence lines, on leash, then gave him some time off leash in the pasture with the animals, put them all way with their dinner, as usual, but he soon finished his dinner and came looking for us again.

This is not good. He is working well with the other animals, and had been doing just what we needed, but now he knows how to find us and leaves the animals. How can we nip this behavior and foster the bounding with the animals???
