Hi, does anyone know how to train a chicken to play the keyboard?
That depends, what song do you want to teach it? Cluck Old Hen or Little Red Rooster?
I've never heard of training a chicken to do anything...Why are you wanting to train a chicken to play the keyboard???
You can clicker train a chicken to do a few pecks where asked, but they can't learn more than a few things in sequence, and after each "correct key" you'd have to reward it... not worth the effort really.
any songs. Can it be done? I've seen it on tv.
...Maybe if you had one of those keyboards where the keys light up to teach you to play a song? I saw one at Target...oh, years ago, at least three or four. You could reward the chicken for responding to pecking the lighted key/s to reinforce the behavior.
I would imagine there is a grain of scratch on the keys they want the chicken to peck, but I would think intense behavior training would be involved to get them to play songs.
Coast gaurd was training birds to spot orange life vest (probably 15 years ago) dont think it ever really worked, but if you could teach them to peck certain key when seeing different color it might work, would have to be a slow song and limited notes. MAYBE?????
It has to be a very simple tune. They can only play one note at a time.
Get one of those keyboards you put on the ground and step on. You can get the whole flock involved!
