Thanks, I never have a camera handy when mine are exposing themselves.
Our drake, Bumpy, has a prolapsed phallus and I’m hoping someone has a suggestion for how to help him. There are no vets in our area that will treat a duck, so any approach will be undertaken by us at home. I am willing to do whatever I need to, but keep it as humane as possible. Thanks!![]()

All finished. It was nerve-wracking, but I managed to get a clean cut. My only concern is that he withdrew the remaining portion all the way inside before I was able to completely stop the bleeding and apply antibiotic ointment. I covered the area around his vent with ointment instead, so hopefully that does the trick for now. He seems content and is drinking plenty of water, but hasn’t eaten yet.![]()

Here's a photo. Definitely looks a little irritated but has stayed clean and moist. I can't find any damage or evidence of dead tissue that would explain why it's not going back in. That said, I don't routinely inspect duck penises to know what falls into the realm of "normal".

It tried several times but didn't succeed.Great picture! His penis looks pretty healthy. Can you push it back into place?
