Hi all. I've been lurking (learning) for a while. Built a coop this spring for my 11 birds. It's a tractor that I move around with my, um, tractor. [/img] It's all insulated and I think it has ample ventilation. I decided to hang additional foam insulation below the vents for the winter. 2' for kinda' cold, and 4' for real cold. I'm hoping that the warmer, moist air will rise to the top, front, and be carried out. This should work right? We see temps. in the -20's F and even as low as -40. They have the smallish screened area they can use but my intention was to let them free range most of the time. This would work fine if they didn't insist on hanging around the house pecking all the insulation off of my foundation! So I let them out for a couple hours before bed time until we can come up with a better solution. Thanks. Dan.
