We have two buff-laced Polish hens--one is named The Swedish Chef, because her head feathers are SO huge and full she just bounces around blindly. But the issue is the blindness. She can find the feeder, and she can find grass, but she can't find anything else. If I throw scratch on the ground, she just pecks randomly. If I throw lettuce on the ground, she pecks at the air, while all the other chickens eat the treat. She can't see a thing! The other polish has a less full crown, and doesn't have the same issue. The Swedish Chef is cute as a button, but I'm wondering if we should trim her crown feathers a bit so she can see better? Or see at all? Has anyone ever tried this?

You sure can! As long as you're not going to show her, trim away! She'll love ya for it!
