My sapphire Oliver egger, Saphira, laid a monster 3.2oz egg today. Both Saphira and Jade lay large browns, but Saphira laid a whopper this morning. Why brown, well I got both chickens with the 5% chance of brown. I love them though lol.

The green egg is from my Starlight green egger, Freya. She has the largest personality ever. 🥰

Is there a way to check the yolks without cracking it? It’s 1 in 25 million that you get triple.

Just candle the egg. The yolks will be obvious. Go into a very dark room and hold a flashlight under it, until you can see inside. You can move around the egg until you see the yolks.

Watching this thread to see what it ends up being! That's a whopper! We had a huge one a couple weeks ago (pic attached). It was way bigger than the double yolkers we've gotten in the past so I was hoping to see 3 yolks when I cracked it. Ended up being just a really big double yolker. Would be cool to see a triple one day! Keep us posted!

I had a jumbo egg, I put in incubator, (I knew it would not hatch, but I still wanted to.)
Most double eggs only make it to day 10, this egg above, one of the yolks was not fertile the other 2 were, one yolk developed until day 10 and died, the other yolk developed until day 17 which was amazing.
The egg below was from my Maren hen. It was also a triple.

I did not try and hatch it though.

I tried that but I couldn’t see any. I’m new at this 😂. Guess I’ll crack it open this week.
