i got some chicks a few months ago and they have just started to lay when this morning i had an egg that was rather large. i broke it open and there it was three yolks. i have never seen this and nobody has heard of it. is it common? what does this mean?

It means you will have three years of good egg production. [IMG]

    Congrats!
The most I've ever had was a couple... each of my hens has laid a double yolker or two before.

I don't know - but it sounds yummy!

The yolk is always my favorite part of the egg.
