This is my "Americana" is she a true Americana and please tell me she is a she and not a he. When she was a chick she looked very similar to my first americana only a bit lighter. I was surprised when she was white. She has feather that stick out from her face. She's only about six or seven weeks old. She is my flighty one.

She's actually an EE, not a true Ameraucana. [IMG] Kind of looks like a pullet to me, but I could be in error.

Good question and I'd like to know also. Thought EE too but not sure why other than looks like the pic for EE in my book.

Ameraucanas usually come in uniform colors: Blue, Black, Splash, Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, ect.. You wouldn't see a true Ameraucana that is a hodgepodge of colors the way EEs are. [IMG]

Ah, that makes sense. Not planning on showing her, so at least she's pretty.

For example, my standard-size Blue and Black Ameraucanas with their Buttercup "sister":

And, a couple of my EEs:

She's definitely VERY beautiful! [IMG] Nothing quite like an EE for pretty colors.
