Tryed Hot Waxing....................Can We Say OWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEE

I wax myself. Eyebrows and all. It's to tedious to use tweezers.

I understand threading. I have never had it done or done it myself. It's really good for those that have a lot of facial hair. (meaning the fine hairs that grow around the hairline, that are dark.)

I think you have to find the right person. My first time she was gentle and did the smoothing thing so it didnt hurt. well next time she was running behind and in a hurry and OMG I never went back. When I was pregnant and couldnt reach my legs ,my DH gave me a spa certificate. Well that girl was so good I havent shaved my legs in 15 years. Unfortunately when she got married and left It was hard to find another as good. Dont ever let a salon wax you with the roll on waxers. Just think where that roller may have been and the wax is NOT hot enough to be sterile.

/bump recipe found! editing post didn't bump the thread and I feel bad that the way I remembered it was wrong...

**update... Recipe found!

It was in hall closet with the wax. Duh!
Anyway... I was off on proportions... sorry and I hope no one wasted supplies yet. It still works with the prior post, just not as well.
Juice of Half a Lemon
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey

microwave til all the sugar is dissolved, I think 30 seconds at a time as it will boil over.
LET COOL before using.

I make & store it in a low wide mouth mason 'jar', 8 oz I think. It came with homemade jam in it. Perfect container for this. If it were less sticky I'd make it in something deeper then transfer it over, because it usually boils over at least once.

Nuke it for about 10 sec to soften before using. Use with wood tongue blade or plastic spatula from the brand name stuff.
Smooth on thin layer, in direction of hair growth, smooth on a rectangle of muslin or other fabric, pull skin taut, pull fabric off in opposite direction, blot with cool wet cloth, pat on witch hazel infused with aloe vera & rosemary. Soak cloths in sink, rinse & hang on tub to dry.

I tried home waxing once. Yea now I just go and get it done. Sheesh so much faster and hurts less due to that lol. I have used the sensitive nair and that worked well and didnt eat my skin. I keep trying to get the hubby to try it so he dont have to shave his face for work every morning lol but no luck....yet

I accidentally Epiladied a girl's head back in college. Just one spot, though.
