Im trying to figure out a name to call my project birds. This is my first project. I do not wanna call them EES because im breeding out the EE. They are Buff orp/Wyandotte/Ameracana crosses.(4th generation of selective breeding)
I have a roo and two hens. They are Rose combed not Pea Combed. Have white legs. and lay light brown eggs. They come bearded and not bearded. it is a project so they are not perfect. one hen i kept for breeding has a single comb but has the best beard i want.

We named our three Huevo,(spanish for egg), Peep, and nugget. People seem to smile when we tell them the names...good luck!

Usually a breed is named after where they are from ie delware or the farm, breeder.

Faverolles and Houdan are both names of towns or regions near where the breeds were developed. I think Lakenvelders are also named for a region and maybe Dorkings, too.
