TSC bantams- OEGB?? *UPDATED PICS IN THREAD*

Got these two from TSC, approximately 5 weeks old now. Thoughts on breed/gender?? Sorry I’m holding them in most shots- these guys do not like to pose!

Both appear to be Black Breasted Red Old English Game Bantams. Too young to sex but salmon breasts are promising

You're definitely right. I missed the slate legs!

They're Old English Game bantams if they came from TSC, who orders through Hoover's. They do have the wrong leg color for the breed, but that's unfortunately quite common from Hoover's OEGBs.

Editing, I guess I should say they're supposed to be OEGBs and marketed as such, despite the incorrect leg coloring.

TSC also buys from Privett's on certain occasions which carry Dutch Bantams. Another member has contacted them and confirmed this before. That's how some TSCs are winding up with some interesting birds out of TSC like Rosecombs, less common OEGB varieties, and Dutch Bantams!

That said, I have seen slate-legged BBR OEGBs confirmed from Hoover's as well. I guess it's hard to say which without calling to confirm. The patterning on these chicks does look a little bit different than typical of BBR OEGBs, so I would agree, with that knowledge, that they're Dutch.

Here are some updated pics!! I realized today that I took those pics a whole week ago, and they’ve changed so much since then!! It didn’t feel like it’s been that long lol. I’m going to call them A and B, because they’ve changed so much I’m honestly not even sure which bird is 1 or 2 now
