We have 6 chicks we got @ TSC in Taunton Mass.
3 white Pullet
3 red Pullet
I looked in your breed section , but did not see any.
Is this a reconized breed?
What should we expect ?
Thanks

White and red are not breeds. They're colors or varieties
A pullet is a female under a year of age. Pullet just tells you they were sexed at hatch.
Do they actually know what breed they are?

With just designations of color, they could be meat birds or egg varieties or dual purpose birds. Sounds like a pig in a poke until you ask them what breeds they actually have.
I'd call the manager and tell them how the bin was labeled and ask him what breed they are.

Most likely you got White Plymouth Rocks or White Leghorns and Rhode Island Red/Production Red or New Hampshire. These are most likely, not only possibilities. Hope this is helpful!

x2

If you wait until they are 8+ weeks old, you can try posting photos in this forum (make a new thread) and we will most likely be able to tell you what they are.

At least you lucked out and bought pullets!
