Pure turken? rooster? Hen?
ummm... on the size of the comb I'd say roo BUT if you post side view pics then we can say for sure Oh and it sure is a Turken
That view looks hen... but unless I could see a couple other views, I couldn't say for certain.
ill post more pics asap lol
Looks like a roo to me and cross bred definitely.
That's Naked Neck pullet and she should be laying, or about to lay. This is nothing about her that indicates to me that she's a rooster.
Just a bit of interesting info: Most Naked Necks will have the bow-tie on their neck, but occasionally you will see one without a bow tie. If you breed a non bow-tie to a regular non-necked neck, you'll get chicks with naked necks and bow ties.
It was given to me a few days ago. no idea age. looking at it closer it has feathers missing from its back, like as if a rooster mounted it, so im guessing its a hen. will post more pics
Based on what you've said... I would guess that it is a purebred Naked Neck hen. We have several with and without the "bowties". My daughter just showed one that is the same color with the bowtie and it got a "blue" award in 4-H since it matched the breed description and was in good feather/body condition.
