Turken-rooster or hen? and pure Turken?

    ummm... on the size of the comb I'd say roo BUT if you post side view pics then we can say for sure [​IMG] Oh and it sure is a Turken

    That view looks hen... but unless I could see a couple other views, I couldn't say for certain.

    That's Naked Neck pullet and she should be laying, or about to lay. This is nothing about her that indicates to me that she's a rooster.

    Just a bit of interesting info: Most Naked Necks will have the bow-tie on their neck, but occasionally you will see one without a bow tie. If you breed a non bow-tie to a regular non-necked neck, you'll get chicks with naked necks and bow ties.

    It was given to me a few days ago. no idea age. looking at it closer it has feathers missing from its back, like as if a rooster mounted it, so im guessing its a hen. will post more pics

    Based on what you've said... I would guess that it is a purebred Naked Neck hen. We have several with and without the "bowties". My daughter just showed one that is the same color with the bowtie and it got a "blue" award in 4-H since it matched the breed description and was in good feather/body condition.
