Turkens.. a little more info on them?

    If all works out, I might have a Turken today. I would like to know more about them. Are they friendly at all?

    No, they are 100% chicken. (I wondered that too, when I first saw them.)

    No. But they are a great chicken. Gentle, lay huge brown eggs. Heat and cold tolerant.

    Nope, they're just naked necked 100% chickens. [​IMG] They're an actual purebred breed, however probably more than 70% of all Naked Neck / Turkens out there are actually mutts, since the gene for naked neck is dominant and easily passed onto mutt offspring.

    Very very frindly birds we have two hens and they think they are lap dogs !
