I've had all types of chickens in my 85years! As a surprise, my daughter bought me three Turkens (I'd never see one before!)
She found them at a local farm in early spring & purchased them for their laying ability & personality. They are now approximately 9months old. I really enjoy them, they are very friendly & spend the day in the yard following me around. In the evening they go to coop.

To date they have not lay ed any eggs is this normal? If so, when should I began to expect eggs?

If this is not normal, do you have suggestions? I do not have a Rooster due to the sound. Is it necessary for this breed to have a rooster?

You advice & suggestions are greatly appreciated.
