Turkey breed?

I think my Jake is a heritage bronze. Anyone have any thoughts?

It looks like the variety is a Broad Breasted Bronze tom. A heritage tom will have longer and not as heavy legs.

@R2elk is the expert on that. Looks mixed to me. Perhaps black and bronze.

Thanks for the replies. We plan on keeping him as a pet. So is this the type of turkey that can not breed with out AI?

He is the type of turkey that was selectively bred for food. They can breed naturally but are not very efficient at it and get worse as they age and increase in size. To extend their life span, they need to be kept active and not over fed. Even then managing to keep a BB tom alive for more than 3 years would be a success story.
