My wife was checking her biddie boxes this afternoon and found on of her 2 week old turkey chicks with its neck bent at an odd angle. Its walking around okay but its head is almost pointing upside down.....I know it almost sounds funny, but it's an odd injury.. we have never seen anything like it before. Could it be a muscle injury or an actually broken neck??? Wish I could post a picture. My son thinks the turkey may have hurt itself by sticking his head thru the chicken wire that surrounds the brooding box. Has anyone ever heard of or seen anything similar?
