Does anyone have any photos of their turkey coop? Looking for ideas to build a small rustic one along side of my chicken coop.

Ours isn't rustic persay but we did use rough wood posts for all of the fencing and roosts. The turkeys all love the roosts..it's one of their favorite hanging out spots.

Wow, that is an impressive coop. How many turkeys do you keep in that coop? Do you have any more pictures of the inside and outside of the coop itself? Do they free range or do they stay in the coop?

No turkey coops to show. Mine free range and sleep ON TOP of the chicken coops and pecan trees. :/

The snow in that picture makes me realize I am not ready for winter yet!

I guess we were lucky last year and we didn't get any snow! We are in Delaware.

Thanks..it works really well for us. The turkeys have plenty of shelter and roosting spots and can still go outside when they want too. We have about 8 acres but most of it is wooded and we have neighbors close by, so no free ranging for us. We only have two hens, a tom, and a jake in there as well as two male guineas that we keep as watch dogs (lol) to let us know if anything is snooping around that shouldn't be. (The poults in the pictures are our babes from this Spring which we sold.) Everyone in the pen uses the roosts at night time and they share well. It can comfortably fit a couple more birds in a pinch if we need the space.

I can probably dig up more pictures if you'd like.

ok I know its a bit late for showing you my turkey coop but I figure why not show you anyway.

I built this from mill ends from a local cedar mill. The coop measures 8x8 and just over 6ft tall in the middle (so I didn't have to stoop when inside).

The front is enclosed on 3 sides with cedar and the back half in wire. I used a large 3x3 door because I let my turkeys out for a bit each day and it makes it easier get them back and clean out.

I have a tom and hen midget white turkeys.
