I am about to start construction on my chicken/duck/turkey coop and run. I would like to know if I should make the door large enough for the turkeys to go into the coop and roost, but will they use it? I think my turkey will since he thinks he's a duck and I'm sure the ducks will go in too.

So how big is big enough? 1 foot square?

How high should the roost be? 4 foot off coop floor?

How much thicker should the roost be? twice as big?

Turkey nest box? How big, how high off the ground, if off the ground?(NM, found info through search)

Good question. I am not sure of these answers myself, as the only turkeys I have now are meant for meat and aren't gong to be given a roost before dinner time.
