I know nothing about raising turkeys. Never done it before. There is a local farm here where we are friendly with the people who run it. They are raising some steers that we have bought a portion of. They have agreed to try some pasture raised turkeys and meat chickens. Today some friends and I went out to prepare the pasture area and spread some seed. We are hoping the seed will take and that we will be able to put some birds on it before too long. We would like some broad-breasted birds as well as some heritage breeds. What breed recommendations can you make for us?
