My mom has a Turkey that she has raised since last spring. He now weights 30 lbs and she plans on butchering him for ThanksGiving dinner. Well the chickens ahve been pecking his tail feathers to the point where it is bloody so she put No Pick on his tail to keep the chickens from pecking at it any more and she wanted me to try to find out if that will cause any problums with eating him. She is afraid that putting No Pick on the area that was bleeding may alllow it to get into his blood stream and wanted to make sure that it wont make us sick if we eat him. Im suppose to go over the day before and help butcher him and when she called me yesterday to make sure I could still come over she knew I was a member of BYC and asked me to ask on here and see if any one would know.
And btw the Turkeys name is Mr.Chistmas lol, but after the other turkey died a few months ago from an infection (ingrown Feather) his name was changed lol, he got bumped up on his "due" date you could say
