I was hoping we had more hens to toms ratio but they have been getting more vocal lately and it's starting to make me wonder if what we have.
I know we have one very prominent Tom these others are confusing

They are 3 1/2 months old
What signs should I be looking for in they are toms?
Bigger caruncles, bigger wattles, snood, shank size etc. The Tom's will be bigger as a whole than the hens. I see some in there with good wattles as well. Hens will keep their Mohawk as well as Tom's start to lose theirs. In my bourbon reds thay are 2 and halfish months old right now (in person) you can see that 3 of the 7 are Def Tom's and the other 4 birds have way smaller waddlez and are like..half the size lol..as well as almost non existent caruncle development compared to the others

Hens can and do strut, so don't go off that. Heck I've even heard a wild hen gobble (not the heat sounding haha) but it does happens. Hens can also grow beards too!
