I have an 8 month old tom turkey who was raised with my now 7 month old chickens. They share a large chicken run during the day. He has always been very passive, but yesterday he started aggressively chasing the roosters (and a couple of hens). He want to peck and kick, and the chickens are all scared, had have set up camp in their attached coop, where turkey cannot reach them.
My theory is that its early spring turkey behavior. Has anyone seen this? Will I have to isolate the tom? Thankfully, he doesnt have spurs, but his claws are sharp enough to do damage...any suggestions would be helpful....
