I was wondering if anyone could let me know what turkey breeds lay eggs more than others, and I've heard it just has to do with their bloodline, and also if there is a certain breed that is extra nice :)

I have Narragansett turkeys, let me tell you. If I got rid of all my chickens, we still would not starve. They have been excellent layers!

    Hi Hannah
I have no experience with turkeys, yet. You might want to try posting this in the Turkey forum to get more answers.

If you stay with any heritage variety they are good layers.
I've raised palms, slates, bourbon reds, bronzes, and narris. All good to excellent layers. Most will go broody at the drop of a hat. Most are good mothers

    Hi Hannah
If you need help, the forum button is up at the top next to the home button, click on it and scroll down towards the bottom to the other poultry section. Once you get to the other poultry section you should see the turkey forum :D
There is nothing to be sorry about, it takes a while to learn your way around new websites :D

Welcome to BYC~! :woot:woot I currently have 4 hens, 2 Royal palms, A mix, and a broad breasted bronze, The Royal palms and the mix lay daily (Although one is currently broody) and the bronze tends to take large breaks from laying.
