Help me finish the carol! Will the holiday spirit reign supreme? Will it be a turkey dinner? BE NICE EVERYONE!
'Twas still some nights before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a munchkin was stirring, not even a spouse;
The laundry was hung, or folded with care,
In hopes that each sock now had a pair;
The chickens were nestled all snug in their coop,
While chickies snuggled in one fluffy troop;
And mommy in her 'kercheif, apron, and broom,
Had sent all those dust bunnies straight to their doom,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the wrapping, to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
To see the neighbor's turkey all up in my trash!
The moon glinted on Monday's rain mud puddles,
And that turkey glaring, looking for trouble.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear-----
