twisted leg

1 of my chicks that hatched has it's leg twisted outwards at the knee. it is easy to twist it back round but i can't find a way to hold it in that position as when it puts weight on it and tries to walk it just twists out and it does the splits. I have tried using pipe cleaners but they don't work as they aren't rigid enough. I have heard about sitting them in a "chair" but can't seem to find any information on it and don't know if it would work as the chick is around 3 weeks old.

Also if i can't find a way to sort it out i will kill it. what is the best way to kill a young chick?
