I gave a few barnyard mix eggs to a friend a few months ago. Two hatched- the darker one from a white (probably Leghorn) egg and the other (beardy) one from a blue egg

Two possible daddies- Lakenvelder or Silver Spangled Hamburg.

They are now 11 weeks old, anyone willing to venture a guess for us?

Thank you all so much!

Was it a white leghorn or brown leghorn? I think WL is dominant white, meaning it'd take quite the genetic anomaly to get a mostly black chick. It's happened, but if you have other white egg layers I'd suspect them. It also doesn't appear to have a single comb, which you'd also expect from a WL offspring.

There are a bunch of brown leghorns and one or two that are mixes. The only other white egg layers in the group are cochins and a few Polish.
