Hi all! I am pretty new with the chicken game &raising as pets. So glad to be in this group as your info is so helpful! This is my second year, but my first year was a trial phase and I learned how to avoid predators after the fact. This year I’ve had no predator trouble. My new flock contains two duck,4 turkey, One definite rooster, and I THOUGHT 4 hens. I noticed my rooster is a bit of a bully although he does not physically hurt any of the others. However he is absolutely in charge, Dictates what they do, and he crows all day long, two times per minute.
I am thinking I also have another rooster but he does not crow at all.I wonder if I’m confused and don’t know what I have or will the one rooster dominate so much to where the other rooster won’t even crow? Including a picture because he sure looks like rooster to me. Black one Is the one I’m unsure about & the Mohawk guy is the “ruler of the roost”. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

There will definitely be only one top rooster. If they were raised together as chicks, many times they will tolerate each other, however the lower ranking roo may sometimes be put in his place. The top roo may not allow him to mate in front of him. The proper ratio is 1 roo to 8+ hens. Any less and hens can be mated to death.

Good luck with your flock and welcome to ours!

Thank you. Info is very helpful. I am going to try to re-post a clearer picture.
