I bought a batch of polish chicks from the Ideal Hatchery and as warmers I got five of the strangest, fluffiest, tamest chicks I had ever seen. Sadly, a stray cat claimed the lives of two of them and I only have the space to keep one. EDIT: Thanks, Lanissa. These are Light Brahma Roosters! They've been handled since birth and are friendly even to the other smaller chicks. They're perfect for family pets and are fine with being held and petted. I've never seen a chicken behave this calmly, much less a little rooster! I'd hate to see these guys go to a home where they could be eaten. I believe they're about five or six weeks old. One, two, three. They're posing! Feeding one a pumpkin seed. "Why do you hold me this way?" The boys with a gold polish friend.
