Today we cracked open our eggs and the first one we opened.......................
HAD TWO YOLKS!!!
It's fairly common. I get one every few months. It's basically the same process as when human ladies have fraternal twins. Some people thinks it's good luck!
I'm sure it tasted yummy! Welcome to the site
Hello and welcome to BYC A double yolker, nice!
Greetings from Kansas, CluckerzFAMILY, and ! Great to have you with us! A double-yolker is a great surprise!
I have 2 Buff Orpington
2 Black Australorp [dont no how to spell it]
2 Americanas [they r so awesome they have beards,green feet,and lay blue/green]
and a pretty flacid rooster
I have Red Sex Links and they give me a huge egg every week or so. It doesn't fit in the cartons. I have to put them in a bowl in the fridge. Then we have a double-yolker fried egg night when we get enough. Nothing like fresh eggs.
Nice!!! That chicky is a keeper!!!!! I had a few who were consistant double yolkers. They make interesting deviled eggs too!
I've got a dozen layers. I don't know if its just one hen or multiple. I just hope they don't prolapse themselves. That wouldn't be good.
thanks ill be sure to make some deviled eggs!!
