I've noticed a number of new users with connections to the Air Force. Who else here serves, has served, has family members with the Air Force, or grew up in an Air Force family?

I've served with the Air Force since 1988. I was an Electrical Powerline Specialist with different Civil Engineer units for 17 years and the past 4 years I have been a Flight Engineer on C-130 cargo aircraft.

I've been stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio, Andersen AFB, Guam, Holloman AFB, NM and am currently stationed at Dyess AFB, TX.

My wife also served and retired from the USAF. She served from 1980 to 2001.

So you could tap out Morse Code, in Farsi, on your drum?

I LOVE the military. I think that the miltary folks do allot and should not have to pay taxes. DH was in Civil Air Patrol, then ROTC, then later, Air Nat'l Guard, then went active duty AF about six months after we married. Went all the way to retirement with me by his side. My adoptive dad was in the Navy, my adoptive mom a Marine, my bio father a Marine, my FIL in the Air Force, my BIL in the Navy briefly, etc. I'd say I'm a card-carrying member of the club.
DH did techschool at Lowry in Denver, first assignment Hill AFB in Utah, then almost 12 years at Wright Patterson in Ohio, then back to Hill in 1992 to retirement two years later.

My dad was in the security service in the Air Force. I got to live all over the world and credit the experience with my ability to have many friends of many types.

I live near Colorado Springs, so lots of air force people around me. Ever been to an air force academy football game? What a blast! I have 3 nephews who are in the air force. My son just joined the army.
