To order from a US hatchery one would need to have them supply health papers and ship the chicks to a US border where you go to bring the chicks across to Canada

Cackle replied to my email today saying that they don’t supply health papers/export to Canada

McMurray Hatchery supplies health papers for $75

Ideal Hatchery supplies health papers for $100 and they replied to me on here saying that if I wanted to place an order for their specials such as $1 bantams it wouldn’t be possible, I don’t know why but I think it’s because the papers take about 3 weeks to get and the special prices are weekly

Anyone know of other hatcheries or breeders that ship to Canada

Meyer is another one I’m curious about but I haven’t contacted them

Thank you for the replies. I am mostly looking for silver pencilled cochins and columbian wyandotte bantams but will also consider other breeds when I get a place.

I will probably go with Ideal as they have those two breeds or Performance Poultry- they don't have those colors but do have bantam Cochins and Wyandottes in other colors.

This is what it says on Purely Poultry under the Shipping tab:
Hawaii and Exporting: We ship all of our chicks via United Postal Service Priority Mail to the continental the United States, and Alaska. We cannot export. We cannot provide documentation for Hawaii, Canada or any other country or territory.

Mt. Healthy doesn't say what bantam breeds they have other than assorted but I did email them. The same seems to apply with Berg's. Rochester and Frey's only have standards.

Can't wait to get my chickies even though it'll be a few years. I find chickens to be therapeutic and just planning my future flock is calming.
