sorry I hate posion ivy, hmm I had a book somewhere that said what to do about poison ivy.

Yes, the dr. will give you a shot that will dry it up almost instantly.

Calamine lotion, jewel weed, jelly fish sting spray, and benedryl works best IMO

If its real bad you may have to go to the docs and get a steriod for it. Also..wash your sheets/towels alot..like every time you use them. Because the nasty juice is still catchy. And you'll just keep getting it.. Good luck!

okay here's what the book says: If you have a poison ivy rash, use a mixture made from equal parts of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol. dab on the solution each time the itching starts. it should relieve the itching and at the same time, dry up the rash.

Not sure if it will work, the book lists other things, but this one seems the easiest to make. (other ones call for using tofu, banna skins etc).

You need somthing to dry it up so it will stop spreading - Maple had good advice with a shot from the doc - you don't want it to turn into a staph infection. Also, oatmeal baths help with the itching - make your own or use Aveeno. Good luck

I would say to dab it with a cotton ball with bleach on it, but if it is open and oozing that would really hurt. Sounds like a trip to the Dr. is in order.

I hope it's true lol, I'm not sure its from a folk remedy book.

I didn't know they make a shot for poison ivy, that's good to know.
