Yesterday, I put 3 of my "Special Girls" in with our Ameracauna Roo so I could be sure their eggs are fertile (I'm collecting for the new Incubator) At the same time, I noticed 2 of my other Girls were coughing.... Now-- they WERE Scarfing scratch at the time (hadn't had any in a while and were making huge pigs of themselves) so it COULD be they were choking on it a bit... However- I didn't want to take a chance, since they are in the coop a lot right now-- so I started them today on tetracicline. UH OH! I wasn't even considering what it might do to the fertility of the eggs!! I know not to eat any of the eggs until 3 days after the final treatment... but can we still incubate the fertile ones? Will they still BE fertile? Will it cause deformities??? HELP! Anyone?????
