Uh oh - found a breeder nearby and bought more chicks!!

I found a breeder about 15 minutes from me on craigslist. It turned out to be a lady who used to own a plant nursery we went to all the time.

I went to her place yesterday. She has GORGEOUS birds and the coolest setup. Her pens and runs were awesome. Everything was so neat and clean. And my gosh the chickens!! They were beautiful. The silkies were absolutely stunning. And the cochins! My gosh - they were HUGE and gorgeous!!!

She's got some white and black silkies setting and told me she'd call when the eggs hatch. She'll sell them for a lower price if I get 3-day olds.

Yesterday I bought 4 buff silkies and 4 golden-laced cochins. They are ranging from 3 weeks to about 6 weeks. They're VERY nice birds but I know I'm in trouble now!

Oh please please please post pics of your Gold lace cochins! I have 8 eggs in the incubator, and I'm only on day 5!
