heh heh heh....I am on Day 1 for Serama eggs from Frank (ae50mag)...what a wonderful packing job, btw- I felt like I was on an Easter Egg hunt. Each egg was wrapped in bubble wrap and the box was full of the fluffy fiber stuff like what is inside your couch cushions...betcha his wife is gonna be so mad when she finds out the cushion fluff is gone...[IMG]

So, anyhow- I was so impressed with his packing and all the extras, and how teensie the eggs are- I showed my husband. And, a light bulb went on inside his head. [IMG] He said, "How many eggs do you have?" And I answered him very honestly. I said,
"Um, a bazillion".....pout pout innocent eyes blink blink blink

He said, "I thought you were done?" heh heh heh. Then, I had to go on and on about how they don't all hatch, and I mean, "Look, hunny...started out with twelve of those, down to three...and um, well...I LOVE YOU"
He was quiet for a real long moment, and then something on the teevee distracted him. I waited for the Neanderthal moment where husbands forget they were talking to you....and quietly slipped out of the room.

same here . Mine was in total panic when he saw 32 eggs. I also explained"look they areshipped, only 50% hatch and of those 50% are roos. So i hatch 18 and get about 9 pullets one or two might die....."he mumbeled okay and i threw in that i saw that part he wanted for his harley is for cheap on ebay. I got the bator where he rarely goes , the eggs come when he is at work and as long as it doesnt stink or he doesnt have to help he doesnt care. Harely parts are a great biribe around here. More chrome and goodies. He didnt complain about 14 duck eggs since he knows how quiet they are and they eat everything

Had the same conversation with my DH.
    He wasn't exactly buying it.
Then DD put us through some stress, and checking on the bator and later petting chicks was obviously calming me, so he was supportive.

He thinks he's won because the bators are in storage.
Guess we never discussed that summer is too hot to ship eggs [IMG]

conny!!! [IMG] i give my bf the same speech!!! well, babe, you know only some of them will hatch and out of those i'll only get so many girls and i'll just give away the roos because i dont need anymore roos so it will all work out... [IMG]

i also make deals with him, i'll get so many not edible chickens/turkeys and i also get him some edible ones. i also just bought 4 call ducks and a barred rock hen that i told him were his "presents" i think he knows my alterior motive, but he goes with it
