    Awwww, so sorry for your missing chicken!

    I remember one time when my Rhode Island Red hen, Simone (the second) was pecking around in my yard. I turned my back for one minute and she was gone. I searched for like twenty minutes then came back to herd the rest of the chickens back into their pen, and there was Simone, pecking around in my yard! The same thing has happened to that same hen two more times. She always comes back. Crazy! Strangely enough, the same thing happened twice with her son, Pip. He always came back too. I guess it's 'cause they know where all the food is.

    my head Roo Sammy was missing once for 36 hours. I could hear him crowing FAR AWAY. Then all of a sudden, he was back with his buds.
