uk hatchery????

does anyone know a good hatchery that’s in the uk since i cant bear the thought of little chicks travelling half way round the world in a small cardboard box that’s darker than a bottomless pit and starving just for me

also can people share experiences since im scared that the post will not treat it with care and they will just chuck it and hurt the chicks so i want to know whether other people have had that happen to them

You won't get chicks in the post in the UK or find then at the 'feed store'!! But check the small ads board (if they have one) where you get your poultry feed.

Look in the local paper for a poultry auction or find out (library?) if there's a poultry club near you you could join; otherwise it's keeping your eyes and ears open unless you want to hatch them yourself.

There is a charity near me that rehomes battery chickens and they are down your way (I think) too, just a thought if you want eggs fairly quickly. I've had a lot of them and they still have plenty to give
